Southington Schools to Participate in 'Bullying Prevention Month'

DePaolo, Kennedy and Alta and Southington High School will all take part in the monthly awareness effort to put an end to bullying including "Unity Day" on Oct. 10.

The following was submitted by Christopher Palmieri, assistant principal at DePaolo Middle School.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month.

In support of Bullying Prevention Month, students and staff at Kennedy, DePaolo, ALTA, and Southington High School are encouraged to take part in “Unity Day”, on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Announcements offering students suggestions and advice about what to do if they see bullying are also being read all week at DePaolo Middle School. This is part of an ongoing initiative in the Southington Public Schools to be proactive in preventing bullying.
