Southington schools, like many other schools in the region including Cheshire, Wallingford and Meriden, will re-open Wednesday, Oct. 30.
The school district was closed for two days due to the threats of damaging weather from Hurricane Sandy.
Here's the full message from School Superintendent Joseph V. Erardi Jr., posted on the school district's website:
Presently, all schools are with electricity; therefore, Southington schools will be open on time on Wednesday. Bus routes have been checked today, schools will be monitored throughout the evening, and I am confident that we will have a normal, uneventful opening in the morning.
Thanks to so many safety officials who have assisted the school board over the past two days.
