Southington VEX Teams Score Big at Competition

All three teams have now qualified for the CTEEA Connecticut State VEX Robotics Championship.

The following was submitted by Sandra Brino.

The three Southington VEX teams competed at the Monroe, Conn., VEX tournament on Saturday, Dec. 7.

  • Team 195B, The Cyber Squires with their robot "Lucky Lightening" won the competition along with their alliance partners teams 1518A When Robots Fly, and 4478C Triple VEX.
  • Team 195A, The Cyber Pirates, our new all female team finished as semi finalists and won the "Judges Award" for their outstanding teamwork and problem solving skills.  
  • Team 195C, also called "The Cyber Squires", finished as quarterfinalists!  

All three teams have now qualified for The CTEEA Connecticut State VEX Robotics Championship that will be held on Jan. 26 at East Catholic High School in Manchester, Conn. 

Attached is a photo of the teams together with their trophies for the day. It was an exciting day for all.
