St. Thomas Benefits from Large Golf Tournament Turnout

The newly named Joseph Angelillo golf tournament brought 112 participants and helped raise money for the St. Thomas School in Southington.

Parents, parishioners, staff and many friends of the St. Thomas community came to the late last to participate in the newly named annual golf tournament, the Joe Angelillo Golf Classic.

Angelillo has been very generous to the school with his time, talent and treasure and it was the committee’s decision to honor him and all he does for the school by naming the annual tournament after him.

There were 112 golfers who came out to play and enjoy good company, good food and spirits. Prizes were awarded for men’s best gross score, second best gross score and to women’s best gross score. All profits from the tournament are used directly for programs for the students at .

Silver Sponsors for the tournament donating $1,000 were Bob Burke and the Farmington Company and Brian Baker owner of Baker Liturgical Art. The lunch sponsor was Mark Laderoute owner of Landscapes, LLC. The dinner sponsor was Dino Carbone and .
