SHS VARSITY COMPETITION
There is just one CIAC game left this season, the Southington Blue Knights football against Cheshire High School on Thanksgiving Day. Don't count the girls out though as the Southington High School powder puff team takes on two games this week leading up the the Turkey Day classic.

Powder Puff Football
Monday, Nov. 21, 6:30 p.m.
The Powder Puff team will take to the road to face the New Britain Golden Hurricanes.

Tuesday, Nov. 22, 6:30 p.m.
The girls will play host to rival Cheshire in a prelude to the annual Thanksgiving Day match-up. The game will be held at .

Blue Knights Football
The final game of the regular season takes place this Thursday at 10 a.m. at Cheshire High School, 525 S. Main St. in Cheshire. Tickets are $6 in advance for students and seniors, $8 for everyone else and can be purchased in the Athletic Department. They will all be $8 at the game.

OTHER MAJOR EVENTS
Santa in the Park (for Southington residents only)
Sunday, Nov. 27 from 2 to 4 p.m.,
This event is open to Southington residents only and is for children who are in kindergarten through third grade only. There will be horse-drawn carriage rides, treats for the children, music of the season, refreshments and Valentine the Clown. The American Legion Auxiliary and the American Legion Junior Girls Unit 72 will be providing refreshments. All children must be accompanied by an adult. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be held in South End School's cafeteria, located within Recreation Park. For more information, call the at (860) 276-6219.
