Honoring a Local Hero

Honoring Eugene Migliaro

Representative Rob Sampson (R-Wolcott) and Senator Joe Markley (R-Southington) are joining together in support of a bill that would rename a portion of Route 32 in Wolcott the “Eugene A. Migliaro Memorial Highway.”

“Commissioner Migliaro worked tirelessly to promote the welfare of veterans and earned a reputation for his open door policy for veterans, allowing any veteran to walk into his office to talk to him without an appointment,” said Rep. Sampson.

“Gene was an outspoken and fiery politician who was devoted to veterans' issues throughout his career and instrumental in the passage of a dozen bills affecting veterans”, added Sen. Markley.
