Time To Act

Your Voice Matters! Come to the Capitol Next Tuesday.....

Dear Neighbor,

You have an opportunity to voice your opinion on a very important matter.

On Tuesday there will be a public hearing on two bills that would create a collective bargaining process for day care providers and personal care assistants. I believe these bills are an attempt to ratify an unconstitutional and unconscionable power grab by the governor.

Last year, the legislature refused to pass bills to unionize these groups, but the Governor went around the people and their elected representatives and issued two executive orders that made unionization inevitable.  These executive orders are the basis for the proposed bills that are now before the Labor Committee.

Forcing people to join a union - when they are not employed by the state is WRONG.

I urge you to speak out on these issues.
