Senator Joe Markley and Representative Rob Sampson hosted students from Wolcott High School at the state capitol in Hartford.
The students got a civics lesson about running for higher office and serving the public.
The 2013 Legislative session started and January and runs through June. Both Markley and Sampson are responsible for voting on legislation to balance the state budget and legislation that affects constituents.
