Vote to Re-elect Jill Notar-Francesco to the Board of Education

JILL NOTAR-FRANCESCO

A common thread that binds us as an experienced leadership team on the Board of Education is a fierce commitment to children and our Southington schools. As a six-year Board member, I hold a clear vision of student achievement as a top priority for every student in our schools.

During these six years on the Board, I have faced challenging fiscal, educational and safety issues by scrutinizing details, asking questions, applying data, and working collaboratively. I am visible, open-minded and approachable.  As a member of numerous committees, I work hard and come well prepared.  I have emphasized respectful budgets, and spending dollars wisely, without compromising academic excellence.

With many statewide and national challenges facing education and our schools, my position on the CREC Council enables me to bring knowledge and a broad educational perspective to our Southington Board.  As we often find ourselves navigating the increasingly complex and costly directives from the State and federal governments, my Council position affords opportunities to address policy and budgetary issues with other Board of Education members in the region.

I favor policies that continue to improve student achievement, promote safety in our schools, and create a positive climate for student success. A position on the Board of Education bears great responsibility to serve the best interests of our children and preserve education as a town investment.
