Blowout Victory Puts Blue Knights in Class LL Semifinals
Southington High School scored early and often en route to a 52-14 shellacking of Norwich Free Academy.
The stage is set and the Southington Blue Knights are now just two wins away from the Class LL football championship.
A 3-0 lead after the first quarter quickly turned into a runaway victory when the Blue Knights (10-1) increased their lead following strong defense and an effective ground game led by Tyler Hyde.
In the end, the Blue Knights walked away with a 52-14 victory over Norwich Free Academy. They will take on the Ridgefield Tigers Saturday at 2 p.m. in West Haven.
