(Updated) Blue Knights Will Have to Wait for Championship Opportunity...Again

The Southington High School football team will need to wait, again, before getting their chance at the Class LL title after the game has been postponed for a second straight day.

The CIAC Class LL Football Championship has been postponed again, this time until Monday evening at 7 p.m. in West Haven.

A winter mix has forced officials to postpone the game for a second straight day, this time moving the championship game from 3 p.m. Sunday to Monday evening. The game, featuring the Southington Blue Knights and Fairfield Prep Jesuits will take place at West Haven High School.

For the Blue Knights, the championship game could not come quick enough. Unfortunately, those members of Southington High School's football team will have to wait a day.

The CIAC Class LL championship game has been postponed to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The game will now take place at West Haven High School.
