"We've Got Spirit, How 'Bout You?"
Southington High School's Knight Krew is currently in the lead for title of "Best Fans in Connecticut." Join in the voting and help them bring home the school spirit honors.
If you ask Southington High School Head Football Coach Mike Drury, he will tell you that a big part of the team's success has been due to a strong and supportive fanbase (along with hard work from the team of course!)
As it turns out, the Knight Krew as they call themselves are well known outside town lines.
Southington High School has been selected as a finalist in the SportzEdge contest for best football fans in the state, going up in the championship round against the "Titan Pit" from Sheehan High School and "The Jungle" from Pomperaug.
"The Blue Knights are already in contention for a state title on the football field, and the Knight Krew wants to be named Champions, too," the site reports. "The Knight Krew sits behind the Knight in the stands. The dedicated group of students hold up signs for their team, and calls their home in the stands 'the dungeon'.”
Southington High School held a slim lead at less than a percentage point ahead of Sheehan as of Wednesday afternoon - but they need your help!
Polls opened Tuesday and will remain open through Friday, Dec. 13, at 5 p.m. To vote, simply click the link provided and help bring home a championship that the entire school can be proud of!
