Readers' Choice: Best Beach

It's beach season people and as the weather continues to get warmer and the sun shines, we asked you this week to tell us about your favorite beach or place to cool off.

It seems that in the Southington area, however, there just aren't a lot of people who are gung-ho about any beach in particular as a slim vote and narrow margin led this week's winner to take the title with only four total votes.

For the second straight week, the Readers' Choice topic didn't seem to resonate around the community as only two people voted with neither commenting on why they nominated the beach they did.

Even Our Facebook page was unable to help corale any extra destinations of votes.

The contest this week came down to three locations, one in town, one in state and one in Rhode Island.

Out of a small sample of just nine votes, it was Sound View Beach in Old Lyme that came out on top with four votes overall. Block Island in Rhode Island received three votes and was given just two votes.
