What's Open, What's Closed on July 4
Today is a federal and state holiday in observance of Independence Day as local residents celebrate the birth of our country.
Happy 4th of July! Most things are closed today to observe the country's birthday so make sure to call ahead if you're headed out:

- Banks and U.S. Financial Market: Closed
- U.S. Post Offices: Closed
- State Government Offices: Closed
- State Courts: Closed
- Liquor Stores: Open! (Thanks in part to the new law!)
- Supermarkets: Call ahead, most are open.
- Retail stores: Most remain open
- Southington Parks: Open
In Southington, is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and other parks are open dawn until dusk. Pools at and are open their regular hours.
