Southington Letter Carriers' Annual Food Drive for the Hungry on MAY 14, 2011

 Southington Letter Carriers to Collect Food Food for the Hungry on May 14th.

 Southington, CT. (April 13, 2011) – On Saturday, May 14, 2011, the U.S. Postal Service's Letter Carriers will conduct their Annual Food Drive to collect donated food items to assist in feeding the hungry.  The nonperishable food items collected will be distributed equally to Bread for Life, Southington Community Services, and the Tabernacle Church Giving Back Program.  Food collected by the postal carriers will be delivered to the YMCA Learning Center where volunteers from the United Way of Southington, the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Bread for Life, Southington Community Services, the Giving Back Program and many others will help sort and box food.

 On May 14, please place your nonperishable food items outside, next to your mail box, for your postal carriers to pickup when they deliver your mail.
