The department is located in the Gura Building that serves as an annex to Southington Town Hall. The Southington Finance Department is led by Finance Director Emilia Portelinha.

The town manager's office, located on the first floor of Southington Town Hall, is the center for all town governmentMore operations in the area. The position is currently held by John Weichsel but the town will soon hire a replacement as Weichsel is scheduled to retire in 2011. The town manager is responsible for providing oversight to all government offices - except schools and the water department - and developing a fiscal budget for the community based on the needs presented by each department. The town manager answers to the Southington Town Council according to the charter.

Town hall is located along Main Street in downtown Southington, directly across from Southington Town Green. TheMore facility includes both the town hall building and adjacent annex known as the Gura Building. Southington Town Hall serves as the home to various offices including the town manager, town attorney, finance department, planning department, engineering department, economic development, youth services, tax assessor, tax collector, town clerk and the health department.  The area also includes several conference rooms and a full-sized Council Chambers used by multiple town boards and commissions.
