Police: Southington Man Robbed Woman, Left Birth Certificate at Scene

Zachary Tentoni allegedly stole a woman's wallet in Boston but left personal items to help police identify him.

A Southington man was arrested in Boston after allegedly leaving his birth certificate and a letter from his mother at the scene of a crime.

According to a Facebook post by Boston Police and a Boston.com article, Zachary Tentoni, 26, followed a woman out of a transit station into the schoolyard at Harbor Middle School in Dorchester just before midnight Monday. The woman said Tentoni approached her from behind and snatched her wallet, then fled.

The wallet contained the woman’s ID, $40 in cash and her Charlie Card – a reusable ticket for the area mass transit, police said.
